Celebrating Meals on Wheels!
MSC Home Support Services provide many programs which assist eligible persons to stay in their own homes and communities. This pamphlet, as well as clicking on the options listed above, describes the many Home Support programs and services, which are available. PLEASE NOTE: effective Oct. 6, 2011, HSS is now located in the MSC's Tillsonburg Town Centre location (200 Broadway, 2nd Floor).
The MSC prides itself in designing and tailoring services to meet client needs. If you have a service need that is not listed – call us. Home Support also provides valuable information on many issues affecting the elderly. Congratulations to the team on its most recent Client Satisfaction Survey Results - 97.5% across all program areas (136 clients in the sample). The survey process was conducted by Roland Kriening of medHR, guided by OCSA (Ontario Community Support Association) District A, and funded by the SWLHIN.
If you are looking for services MSC is not able to provide, check out www.stonebridgecs.com, MSC's sister corporation.
Home Support Services are funded by client fees, contracts, donations and the SouthWest Local Health Integrated Network (SW LHIN - www.swlhin.on.ca). MSC’s Home Support Services are a member of the Ontario Community Support Association (www.ocsa.on.ca) and have been accredited through Accreditation Canada since 2003. Home Support Services partner with many entities in the delivery of services, including South West Community Care Access Centre (www.sw.ccac-ont.ca) and Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital (www.tillsonburghospital.on.ca).
There are many stories in Home Support - Virginia's Story captures the essence of many of them. Other client comments include:
“My Personal Support Worker helps me day and night so I don’t have to go to a nursing home.”
“We are proud of our home - inside and outside. Thanks to your service it continues to be that way.”
“My daughter works every day and simply cannot help as much as she would like. Now I always have enough groceries and my house is clean.”
“These fees are the best rates around and I have compared.”
“Now I exercise regularly with someone to help”
“It’s wonderful getting out from the nursing home every week. We go for lunch and sometimes to the movies or just to the park.”
In 2008, during the Multi-Service Centre’s 30th anniversary year, monthly articles profiling the agency’s history appeared in The Tillsonburg News. Click here to read a profile of MSC Home Support Services and here for the feature on Meals on Wheels.
