ACCOUNTABILITY FEATURES

The MSC:

  • Is governed by a committed Board of Directors guided by a comprehensive Policy and Procedure framework. Policy areas include: Governance, Personnel, Service Planning and Delivery Standards, Information Technology, Health & Safety and Conduct parameters.
  • Has undergone a successful financial audit every year of its operation, the details of which are shared at the MSC Annual Meeting every June. The most recent document is the 2010/11 ANNUAL REPORT.
  • Provides comprehensive orientation, health & safety training, supervision support, training/education/professional development opportunites, Group Benefits (for those eligible), wellness programming (including a wide variety of Lunch & Learn offerings) and activities planned by the Social Committee for personnel.
  • Participates in Volunteer Recognition on an annual basis.
  • Adheres to ethical fundraising practices.
  • Expects MSC program areas to submit annual plans and evaluate client services and outcomes.
  • Is a member of Literacy Link South Central - www.llsc.on.ca - and participates in the Literacy Community Planning Process.
  • Is a member of First Work: the Ontario Association of Youth Employment Centres - www.firstwork.org - and the London Area Management Group (employment programs).
  • Is a member of the Ontario Community Support Association (OCSA - www.ocsa.on.ca).
  • Is a member of the Tillsonburg Chamber of Commerce
  • Has achieved successful accreditation with Accreditation Canada since 2003.
